Anna Hurban District of Chicago Scholarship Luncheon

Anna Hurban Chicago District members met on June 19, 2023, at Camelot Banquets in Hickory Hills, IL, to celebrate the District’s 2023-2024 scholarship winners. Scholarship winners and their families were invited by their Branches to join together for a luncheon and program recognizing the student’s scholastic accomplishments.

Each scholarship winner attending was invited to share details about their current school, past accomplishments, and FCSLA family affiliations. As each scholar was called up to the podium to be recognized, the audience was given a brief description about the student as they were presented with a certificate, a rose, and an FCSLA pin and notebook. They were invited to sign the FCSLA Chicago District Scholarship book to commemorate the occasion.

After the program, everyone enjoyed a delicious Slavic style lunch. Following lunch, National Sales Manager, Paul Smithers, showed a new video to the group which targeted educating our young members on financial concepts. After many photos, and farewells, the scholarship families left, and the District business meeting followed.

We look forward to seeing these scholars at our future District events, and wish them well in the upcoming school year.
