On Saturday, October 29, 2011, the Anna Hurban Chicago District swore in its new District Officers and also recognized the outgoing District Officers, Joe Ledvora (President), Helen Ledvora (Recording Secretary) and Alice Nemcek (Treasurer) for their collective years of service to the District. Special recognition was also paid to Rosemary Mlinarich for her 16 years of service as one of the FCSLA’s National Vice Presidents.
The new Chicago District Officers are: Mary Therese Tylus (President), Judy Tybor-Knizner (Vice President), Lorraine Gibas (Recording Secretary), Carol Rosenthal (Treasurer), Irene Zittman (Auditor) Jarmila Hlubocky (Financial Secretary) and Sr. Antonia Klausner (Chaplain). District President, Mary Therese Tylus, thanked everyone on behalf of the newly inducted officers for the opportunity to serve the Chicago District. As World’s Finest Chocolate bars were passed out to the attendees, a pledge was made to work with each and every one in making “Chicago –the World’s Finest District.”
The District also congratulated Jeanette Palanca and Joyce Kelly on their recent election to the FCSLA’s Office of Court of Appeals at the 2011 Convention in Baltimore, MD.
